This is another cheesy post. 😛 I just realised that while I had quite huge expectations for relationships before – the romantic dates, travels and what not – being with my love made me appreciate the little things as much as the big ones. Ah, time really does fly fast and especially when you have a lot on your plate. My life turned from chill to hectic in a span of a few months but I’m not really complaining. I am actually enjoying my domesticated life – cooking at home, cleaning up, organising, doing the laundry and what not – and my love and I are busy starting our new business.

This is especially true for memories that while painful, have touched your life in more ways than you can imagine. I grew up in a household that loved food. I remember Mom cooking her signature potato salad, spaghetti, chicken ham and fruit salad when there were special occasions and if she’s too busy to do the cooking herself, she would call our go-to caterer for many years, Fablues Catering because they whip up the most delicious dishes. We are also part Ilocano and like what my Grandma always says, Ilocanos are very kuripot but not with food. She would tell stories of how her Dad would stock their pantry with boxes of milk, canned goods, sweets, meat and what not.
